Abstract

Previous researchers have developed strategies for inducing pluripotency in differentiated cells through an experimentally intensive approach. From a dynamical perspective, each differentiated cell type inhabits an attractor that may be characterized by its molecular composition. In this talk, I will present computational methods for both distinguishing cells by their gene expression, and discovering which pairs of cell types may be converted from one to another while identifying the gene-expression perturbations necessary to foment these conversions.
